ICC announced it will begin a Green Building Code Development Project targeting the commercial market. The new project will develop a code for traditional as well as high-performance buildings that uses a format consistent with other ICC codes and standards. The green building code will be created with input from other leading building rating systems. Subjects covered in the code are expected to include energy efficiency, water efficiency, materials and resource conservation, indoor environmental quality and overall environmental impact.
