The Keynote speaker at METALCON 2009, Mr. Bob Berkebile, FAIA, received the prestigious Heinz Award. Berkebile is a founding principal of BNIM Architects in Kansas City, MO and has 30 years of experience in architecture and environmentalism. The Heinz Award is given each year to outstanding individuals in several categories, including environmental work. Bob was the founding chairman of the AIA Committee on the Environment, and served on the board of directors for the USGBC.
