The U.S. House of Representatives passed the Solar Technology Roadmap Act in late October 2009. The Act includes bi-partisan support and is endorsed by the US Chamber of Commerce. The bill authorizes $350 million for solar R&D beginning in October 2010, and incrementally increases the funding over the next five years to $550 million.
