The Construction Specifications Institute, EPA and GreenBlue organization are attempting to form a new organization called Green Building Products Coalition. An organizational meeting was held in conjunction with the CONSTRUCT convention in Philadelphia on May 11, 2010. Over 100 industry representatives took part in the event. Potential projects of the GBPC include Enterprise-level Sustainability Metrics, Reporting on Building Product Assessment, Developing a Framework for Building Product Assessment, and Development of Product Category Rules. A decision on the merits of moving forward with the creation of GBPC will be announced shortly.
