Recently featured in the highly publicized documentary, “Waiting for Superman”, the SEED School of Maryland is a statewide opportunity for disadvantaged students to have access to college preparatory programs. Petersen Aluminum, working with York Roofing of York, PA, was selected to provide the Snap-Clad metal roofing panels for the project. The project consists of two buildings, the first of which featured 14,000 SFT of PAC 16” Snap-Clad roofing panels in Galvalume Plus, and opened to students in August, 2008. The second building, topped with 15,000 SFT of roofing panels, shipped in July, 2010. The public boarding school is now home to 240 students in grades 6 – 8, and by adding a grade per year, will serve up to 400 students in grades 6 – 12. The students live on campus Sunday through Friday, and return home for the weekend.
