Like everything else in life, some construction projects are easier than others. The Custead Care Haven Hospice Center, in Orange Park, FL., fell into the demanding category, but the J. Register Company of Jacksonville, FL was up for the challenge.
The project consisted of 42,000 square feet of Petersen Aluminum’s Snap-Clad standing seam architectural metal panels in unfinished 24 gauge Galvalume Plus. The details were the critical element in this project, as nearly every NRCA and SMACNA flashing detail came into play. J. Register Company pulled it off flawlessly, resulting in a stunning project that is not only economical but meets all requirements as specified in the Florida Building codes.
Standing seam metal panels were specified from the start, and PAC’s Acworth, GA plant facilitated the use of Snap-Clad as well as the PAC R-36 exposed fastener panel with upfront expertise of the Florida Building Approvals and assistance with all required submittals.
The Custead Care Center is the fifth free standing care center within the Haven Hospice system located throughout northern Florida. Architect-of-Record is AG Architecture of Wauwatosa, WI.
