Territory manager

Petersen Aluminum is looking for an ambitious, motivated and sales-driven Territory Manager. The applicant would be responsible for maintaining and growing an active Kentucky roofing market.  Applicants must have strong communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain relationships with Petersen’s current and prospective customers on a regular basis.

Duties:
– Working with architects, building owners, general and specialty contractors on prospective projects
– Developing new business and maintaining the existing customer base
– Ability to investigate and resolve customer issues
– Prepare sales estimates and quotes for customers
– Follow and maximize job lead services such as I-sqft, Dodge and Builders Exchange
– Follow up on estimates

Desired qualifications:
– 3 to 5 years of project coordinating experience within the building material or construction industries (steel or metal construction experience preferred)
– Ability to interpret architectural/structural plans, specifications and scale take offs
– Solid general construction knowledge
– Ability to work independently and with others within the organization
– Solid computer skills plus knowledge of Excel and Word
– Problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in an organized manner to ensure deadlines are met
– 4 year college degree preferred; HS diploma or equivalent required
