PAC Salutes Bristol Engineering for Job Well Done

As part of an overall 20 buildings completed at Ft. Stewart, GA’s 5th IBCT (Infantry Brigade Combat Combat Team), the most recent building completed was the Dining Hall, possibly considered the most important by many of the base soldiers.

The US Corp of Engineers required a “southern-style” architecture throughout the post, complete with floor to eave exterior columns, and this design was accomplished by Rule Joy Trammel + Rubio Architects, Atlanta, GA.

The post incorporates over 250,000 SF of  Colonial Red Snap Clad panels, and Bristol Engineering of Duluth, GA installed 15,000 SF of the panels on the Dining Hall.  Most of the panels were formed of 24 GA steel, however, 22 GA steel was utilized at the corner zones to enhance wind speed loads required by local building codes.

The job was a design-build delivery with H-S Joint Venture, LLC, Atlanta GA, and was completed in the Spring of 2011.
