The new Little League Southeast Regional Headquarters and Stadium in Warner-Robins, GA sports nearly 30,000 sq. ft. of PAC-CLAD® material.  The $5.5 million facility serves as the administrative office for Little League baseball and softball activities in seven Southeast states.  The complex is located on a 26-acre site and includes a 3,500-seat tournament stadium and 10,400 sq. ft. administration building.

The project utilized 23,000 sq. ft. of 24 gauge Snap-Clad panels and 6,500 sq. ft. of 24 gauge Tite-Loc curved panels.  The 18” panels were finished in Dark Bronze.

Design for the project was provided by JMA Architects, Inc.,Perry,GA.  “We were looking for a way to give the kids a professional, big league feel when they came into the stadium,” said Jim Mehserle, project director.  “We looked at materials currently used in Major League Baseball and found a lot of brick and ironwork and standing seam metal.”

The PAC-CLAD canopy over the seating is fully cantilevered to avoid poles and obstructions for the spectators.  “Whenever you put a curved element together with angles as we did, there are a lot of interesting geometries to work out,” according to Mehserle.  “We were able to model the project in three dimension and develop our construction documents from that.  It all came together very nicely.”

The roofing contractor on the project was Aegis Roofing,Macon,GA.  The Petersen distributor was Commercial Roofing Specialties,College Park,GA.
