Award-winning restaurant chain chooses PAC-CLAD roof

Nation’s Restaurant News has chosen PDQ Restaurants as one of five emerging foodservice brands to receive its 2014 Hot Concepts Award. PDQ, which stands for People Dedicated to Quality, is a fast casual restaurant known for hand-breaded chicken tenders and other fresh menu items. Former Outback Steakhouse co-founder Bob Basham is a principal owner.

The PDQ Restaurant in Brandon, Fla. utilized 3,500 sq. ft. of PAC-CLAD Snap-Clad panels finished in Cardinal Red. The job also included 1,500 sq. ft. of Petersen Aluminum’s 7.2 Rib Panel that was field painted in custom green.

Installation of the Petersen Aluminum panels was performed by Martin Roofing Services, Winter Park, Fla. Architectural design for the restaurant was created by BDG Architects in Tampa.

“We’ve done two other PDQ locations since the Brandon site. Both are in Jacksonville and look great,” according to Dave Landis, Petersen Aluminum’s architectural/technical sales manager, working out of the Acworth, Ga. plant.
