Price increases to be effective June 28, 2021
ELK GROVE VILLAGE, ILL [May 28, 2021] – As the metals industry continues to experience high demand and constrained supply, Petersen is announcing price increases on its steel and aluminum products.
Factors contributing to the increases include extremely tight metal markets on a global level, with domestic mills essentially sold out through the 3rd quarter of 2021. Demand is strong across all sections of the metal supply chain, and expectations are that this situation will continue well into the fall. In addition, Petersen has experienced cost increases in lumber, packaging and freight.
As a result of current market conditions, effective June 28, 2021, Petersen will be raising prices on PAC-CLAD steel sheet, coil and panels by 17%. In addition, aluminum prices will be increasing 10%. All products will be billed at price in effect at the time of shipment. The freight surcharge will increase to 2.5%.
