Pala Casino, located on the Pala Indian Reservation in Pala, CA, utilizes a distinctive barrel metal roof provided by Petersen Aluminum Corporation to help distinguish it from several other casinos in the area.

Installed by Ehmcke Sheet Metal Corp., San Diego, more than 27,000 square feet of Petersen’s 24 gauge, Copper Penny Metallic finish Snap-On Metal Roofing Panels were utilized on the project. The panels were shipped flat from Petersen’s plant in Chicago and were curved by Ehmcke at the jobsite. The 1” high Snap-On Panel can be curved to a concave or convex minimum radius of 9 feet, making it ideal for barrel vaults and entranceways.

Used over the front entrance and bus entrance as well as a walkway cover to the parking garage, Snap-On Panels are also well suited for applications where roof transitions are required. In addition, 15,000 square feet of 24 gauge, Copper Penny Metallic flat stock was used to manufacture flashings and trim.

The architect was Klai::Juba Architects, located in Las Vegas. The firm specializes in gaming resort projects.

The Petersen metal roofing was selected because of its ability to meet plan requirements and specifications.
