Located just two blocks from the beach, the new Ponce Inlet, FL town hall and police station utilizes approximately 25,000 sq. ft. of .032” aluminum SNAP-CLAD™ metal roofing panels finished in Cool Color Hemlock Green. In addition, 8,000 sq. ft. of PAC-CLAD aluminum flat stock was used for coping.
Design for the project was provided by Woodroffe Corporation Architects, Tampa. The roofing contractor was Architectural Sheet Metal, Orlando.
Given the building’s proximity to the ocean, the aluminum panel material was critical in order to provide corrosion resistance. The project is unique in that there was very little disturbance of the site during construction and incorporates a large native plant courtyard on the east elevation.
